Abstract: Africa is endowed with abundant wind and solar as sources of renewable energy, vast availability of land and good shipping access to the rapidly growing international markets. These provide a unique competitive advantage in leveraging opportunities presented by climate change. Renewable energy coupled with energy storage is a good combination in mitigating climate change. It is certainly true that if the revolutionary 20th century is known as the century of crude oil and nuclear energy, then the 21st century will be known as a century of renewable energy and energy storage.
Real developments on the ground taking place now in Africa on these nascent opportunities are being initiated by start-ups. Amongst those start-ups is Solzen Energy. This webinar will focus on the opportunities in this area and showcase how Solzen Energy is doing this, specifically on what Solzen Energy is doing that can serve as an example for others willing to also succeed in renewable energy in Africa.
