Dr. Norma Juma is a professor of Strategic Management and International Business at Washburn University. She has achieved several accolades for her research and outstanding academic accomplishments. She is a recipient of the prestigious Roy Myers Excellence in Research Award, 2019; C-TEL Innovation Award in High Impact Community Engagement Practices, 2017; International Academy of African Business & Development (IAABD) President Service Award, 2017; Kaw Valley Bank Excellence in Research Award, 2017; Emerald/ALCS African Management Research Award, 2010; International Council for Small Business (ICSB) World Conference, JDR Legal Award, Best Paper for Intellectual Property Track, 2006, among a host of other accolades.
Dr. Juma has developed a pipeline of research focusing on sustainable entrepreneurship and harnessing indigenous knowledge systems in Africa. Her work appears in Journal of Business Ethics, Journal of Business Strategy, Journal of Small Business & Entrepreneurship, International Journal of Innovation and Technology Management, International Journal of Human Resource Management, Case Research Journal among others. She serves on the editorial board of Journal of African Business. She is vice-president of AABD. She serves as a board member of International Center of Topeka (ICT), a board member of Entrepreneurial & Minority Business Development (EMBD) Council, among a host of others.
